Offered Courses:

POS 160 Global Politics.

Nature of contemporary world politics through the study of both general theoretical topics and specific geographical areas.

POS 300   Contemporary Controversies in Global Politics.
Explores key controversies in global politics including security, economic stability, poverty, gender, race, and the environment.

POS 350 Comparative Politics

This course offers theoretical approaches and political institutions, such as parties, pressure groups, legislatures, and executives, from a cross-national perspective. Areas of focus are Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Africa.

POS 360   World Politics.
Theory and practice of statecraft as applied to selected issues, regions, or eras. Review of major theoretical debates where undergraduates are exposed to the most up-to-date theoretical debates in the field of international relations.

UNI 110 Critical Reading and Critical Thinking: This course helps students develop strategies for reading-to-learn utilizing a variety of sources, including textbooks, journal articles, and electronic resources.  Students learn how to apply these strategies in their other courses to assist them in interpreting, analyzing, and critically evaluating ideas.

UNI 194 Academic Success: This seminar is designed to help freshmen students successfully transition to the university, engage in university life, and take an active role in their own education. This course is designed to help students connect to academic resources that will support academic and personal development and success.
