Brief Bio

I am currently working with Prof. Anna Scaglione and Prof. Angelia Nedich as a Postdoctoral Scholar. I received my B. Eng (with first class Honor) and M. Phil. from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, working with Prof. Wing-kin (Ken) Ma in Spring 2010 and 2012, respectively, and my PhD degree from Arizona State University in Fall 2017. I was a visiting PhD student at Télécom ParisTech from May to October 2015, working with Prof. Eric Moulines and at LIDS, MIT from May to August 2017, working with Prof. Asuman E. Ozdaglar.

My research interests lie in the area of optimization theory, machine learning and signal processing, with the focus on their applications to network science.

I will be joining the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management of Chinese University of Hong Kong as an Assistant Professor from December 2018.

Recent News

  • Dec. 2017: I am one of the two PhD graduates to have received a Dean's Dissertation Award from the ASU's Ira A. Fulton's Schools of Engineering. See the coverage on Full Circle.
  • Nov. 2017: I have defended my dissertation on ``New and Provable Results for Network Inference Problems and Multi-agent Optimization Algorithms''. A big thank you to my thesis committee: Prof. Anna Scaglione, Prof. Visar Berisha, Prof. Angelia Nedich, Prof. Lei Ying, as well as to my collaborators.
