Rebecca Beck, a daughter of Captain John and Rebecca Miller Beck married Garrett Byrnes. Rebecca died November 21, 1821 a few days after giving birth to her fourth child. They lived in Brooke County WV.

George Byrnes settled in the Cameron, WV (Marshall Co.) area where he operated a farm and taught school for 26 years. He was an invalid for the last 7 years of his life.Children: Robert Luke, b. 1840, William F., b. 1844 a fireman, Joanna, b. 1849, a music teacher, James A., b. 1850 a laborer and George 1854. George married Margaret Hall July 4, 1882. W.F. Burns was in the Civil War.

-Susan Nov 1821 m. Abraham McColloch (a nephew of Major Samuel McCulloch of the famous "leap") They lived in Short Creek, WV (Ohio Co) 1850 Ohio Co census ,page 211, Nov. 11 Lists Abraham McCollough, age 50, farmer 8000 Va., wife Susan 19, Daughter, Susan, age 2 and son William, age 8-1/2.

-Alexander 5/16/1814-1/24/1874 -m. Elizabeth Cotton

Elizabeth was a daughter of Dr. Henry (1785-1823) and Margaret Mackemie Cotton of West Middletown, Pa. Henry Cotton was the son of John and Margaret Stockton Cotton. John was the son of Henry (1710-1800) and Mary Martha Smith Cotton.

Alexander Burns was a tailor , justice of the peace and a farmer in West Middletown, Pa. He farmed 3000 acres in West Middleton, Pa and also owned land in Ross County Ohio.Elizabeth is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in West Middleton, Pa with several of her children. Alexander and Elizabeth raised 12 children:

Virginia Ellen, b. April 28, 1845, d.Feb 18, 1941 married John Smith. Six children.

Laura Corene, b. Jan 5, 1847, d.July 21, 1922 Never married

Dr. Alexander Clarkson , b.Nov. 28, 1848, d.Feb 2, 1907 married Diana Templeton. Lived in Huntington, WV.4 children

Horace Roscoe, b. Nov. 28, 1850, d.Aug. 23, 1912 married Anna M. Wells. Two daughters, lived in Egypt as missionaries.

Orson Camaro,(twin) b. Jan 31, 1853, d.July 29, 1946 married Laura B. Lynch, lived in Chicago.

Orin Ebert,(twin) b. Jan 31, 1853, d.April 30, 1940 Cabinetmaker, never married, Lived in Helena, Montana from 1880-1940.         Buried in Huntington, WV.

Decima Camilla, b. Sept. 4, 1856, d.Dec 12, 1942 married James Templeton.  Lived in Lawrence Co. Ohio.

Frank Clarence, b. May 6, 1861,Dec. 24, 1925 Never married, and was a well-known architect in the Pacific Northwest..
Died in Bellingham, Washington.
 
 

 Alexander Burns, Jr. graduated from the University of Michigan Medical Department in May 1877 and moved to Lawrence County Ohio to practice medicine. On December 24, 1878 he married Diana Templeton, daughter of Creed and Rebecca Templeton. In 1893 they moved across the river to Huntington West Virginia and raised four children:

Anice who married Dr. D. O. Hicks.

Dr. Burns (biography) died in 1907(obit) and his wife (obit) died in 1937.
