Meeting organization, process and timeline
The American Physiological Society holds 1-2 specialty
conferences each year. These are selected by the APS via a process
described at: http://www.the-aps.org/meetings/aps/conf-proposal.htm.
Here is brief time-line of the meeting organization
process.
Fall 2007: Organizational committee selected
Spring 2008: Call for symposia, committee works on program
July 1, 2008: Final deadline for symposia (earlier is better!)
August 1, 2008: Committee submits full program proposal to APS
By end of 2008: Proposal acceptance or not
Spring 2009: Location selected and date set
Summer 2009: Meeting registration website up
Late July, 2010: Happy meeting!
