| WHAT |
Four reading activities models using web-based authentic
reading passages and a list of online reading collection which
are appropriate for high-intermediate and advanced learners of
Vietnamese language. |
| WHY |
To
provide learners with reading lessons and reading collections in
order to encourage them reading Vietnamese on their own using
reading strategies learned in the reading activities
models. |
| WHO |
Online Vietnamese Reading Program is developed
for high-intermediate and advanced learners of Vietnamese
language who wish to improve their reading skills on their own
or with the guidance of an instructor or a tutor. |
| HOW
|
Authentic
reading passages are accompanied by pre-reading activities,
global activities, specific information activities, linguistic
activities, and post-reading activities for learners to practice
reading strategies. The first four stages provide learners
with questions and answer keys for those questions. The last
stage, post-reading activities, provides integrated skill
exercises that require open-ended type of
answers/tasks. |
