Vietnamese Language Courses


All Vietnamese language courses at Arizona State University are offereed in hybrid mode which combine traditional face-to-face classroom instruction with online computer-based and independent learning.  On the day of mandatory in-class meeting, students meet on campus for the lecture and oral activities; the remainder of the coursework is completed online independently.

VTN 101, VTN 201, and VTN 321 are only offered for fall semester while VTN 102, VTN 202, and VTN 322 are only offered for spring semester.

100 level courses (5 credits):    VTN 101 & VTN 102  Elementary Vietnamese  
   
200 level courses (5 credits):    VTN 201 & VTN 202  Intermediate Vietnanmese  
 
300 level courses (3 credits):    VTN 321 & VTN 322  Advanced Vietnamese & Literatures
 
400 level courses (1-3 credits): VTN 499  Independent Study (with instructor's approval)
