No one is as concerned about your wealth as you (or your spouse).  All AAII meeting participants are invited to improve their wealth building and management skills in the TIA activities.  You will benefit from a combination of tutorial presentations and active discussions.  These span investing for core portfolio growth to trading stocks and options for monthly income.  The depth ranges from active portfolio managers and traders to those just starting to take charge of their investments.  This includes oversight for professional managers.  You will develop tools ranging from techniques for managing personal psychology to technical analysis.  We will look at everything from holding GE to a weekly option on Apple.  You are welcome to join our quest to combat the unprecedented market changes and uncertainties.

We meet each month October through April at 1:16 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. after the main AAII meeting.

Moderator: Richard Climie

Due to greater uncertainties, financial planning after retirement becomes more challenging.  So we’ve combined our 2 SIGs into a 2-part educational session on financial planning, with an emphasis on investing for income during the second hour.  We’ll also discuss the impact of current events in the financial world as we learn from each other by sharing our experience and knowledge. Our group welcomes different viewpoints and participation from both experienced and new investors.

We meet the second Saturday of the month October through April from noon to 2 p.m. immediately after the main meeting.

Moderator: Joyce Morningstar

This SIG focuses on the use of the VectorVest system for equity investing strategies and market timing. Most meetings include a discussion of the current market conditions and what to expect in the month ahead using VectorVest tools, several educational presentations by members describing their experiences with various parts of the VectorVest System and discussions and analysis of selected investment strategies and/or equities of interest to the members.  For further information call 602-300-4573.

Meetings are held every Saturday from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.. at the Gloria Dell Lutheran Church, 3539 E. Sanford Drive. First meeting: Sept 19th.

Moderator: Duffy Almer
Join us for lively discussions on current events in the financial world.  We’ll learn from each other as we discuss different
viewpoints, sharing our experience and knowledge.  And the conversation continues for those who wish to go to lunch afterward.
We welcome different viewpoints and participation from both experienced and new investors.

We meet every 3rd Thursday, May through September.
Location: Davis Miles law firm
80 Rio Salado Parkway, 4th Floor, Tempe, AZ  85281
Time: 10 a.m. to noon.
There is no cost to AAII members.

Moderator: Joyce Morningstar
Learn about the Health Care Reform Law, known as PPACA, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and how it will affect you. We’ll talk about how the law is being implemented, how it will be paid for, the cost to Seniors, new taxes to help pay for the benefits, changes to Medicare and Medicaid, mandated insurance for all Americans, penalties for those who do not purchase medical insurance, why health care costs are high and rising, how Seniors will be affected, what the future looks like and how to plan for it. At the same time the law is being implemented, the Supreme Court, sometime in 2012, will decide its constitutionality.  What happens then? There is much information to know which will help separate fact from fiction. Each meeting will have current updates and new information.

Meetings will be Dec 10, Feb 11 and April 14 from 1-2 p.m. following the main meeting
