All AAII participants are invited to improve their wealth building and management skills through the use of option instruments and analysis tools.  You will benefit from a combination of tutorial presentations and active discussions.  These range from use of options to generate monthly income to "hedging" for protection of your stocks and portfolios. Participant depth ranges from initial learning to active traders.

You are welcome to join our quest to combat the unprecedented market changes and uncertainties.  REMEMBER:  No one is as concerned about your wealth as you (or your spouse).

We will work closely with the Stock Screens SIG.  This includes rotating the meeting start time and sharing facilities. During the winter we meet after the monthly AAII main meeting in rotation with the Stocks and IP SIGs. Time: 1:00, 2:00 or 3:30 p.m.

Moderator: Lowell Carty
The goal of this SIG is to screen stocks (mostly) for dividends. Then we will discuss selling calls for premium and puts for possibly adding to the position (or for additional premium ). We will be using the AAII Stock Dividend recommendations along with recommendations from Seeking Alpha, David Fish and others.

We share the meeting time and location with the Options & Analysis SIG and the Income Protection SIG.

Meets after the Chapter Meeting in rotation (see Options and Analysis, left).

Due to greater uncertainties, financial planning after retirement becomes more challenging.  We all want to make good decisions.  Where most investors get into trouble is not in their intent, itís in their emotions and habits.  The SIG's focus is educating members how-to make informed financial decisions which are in their best interest.  Our group welcomes different viewpoints and participation from both experienced and new investors.

Meetings are held  Nov, Jan, and March from 12-1p.m. following the main meeting.

Repeal and replacement of The Affordable Care Act is high on the new Administrationís agenda but thereís a lack of agreement on certain key issues, mainly subsidies for those that canít afford the high premiums, and Medicaid, which was greatly expanded and now costs are out of control. 2018 Open Enrollment for under 65 is here, and, as of now very few carriers have expressed interest in participating. This is a nationwide issue. Medicare has adopted a new payment system for doctors/providers/hospitals which has caused some confusion and criticism.

Join us for an informative and spirited discussion of all things pertaining to health care.

Meetings will be held Oct, Dec, Feb and April from 12-1pm following the main meeting.

The Investment Protection [IP] SIG focuses on wealth protection in perilous times.

Foreseeable market volatility, inflation and other factors promise significant wealth destruction for the uninformed.  There is no Holy Grail, but improved skills and strategies can help protect your portfolio.  Also, you can learn techniques to increase your wealth in such troubled times.

The IP SIG will complement the fundamental work of the Stocks & ETF's SIG and the Options & Analysis SIG.  Each SIG will use meetings and the electronic forum for investors and traders to learn new skills and, most importantly, to share experiences.

We will meet once a month in rotation with the Options and Stocks SIGS (see left). A draft agenda will be circulated for each meeting.
