The holdings of the ASU Percussion Studio library and J. B. Smith's personal collection are organized in an on-line catalog.

Annotated citations offer details about each composition:

Composer
Title
Type of piece (solo, ensemble, chamber)
Number of performers required
Instrumentation (key to abbreviations is accessed via link on database page)
Pulbisher
Date of composition
Library location
Short annotation

The search engine allows users to find pieces that meet multiple criteria. If, for instance, a performer was looking for a duet with violin, "vln" would be typed into the instrumentation field, number of players would be entered as "2" and "chamber" would be selected from the "type of ensemble" pull-down menu. The following pieces would be offered by the database:

Mays, Lyle--Somewhere in Maine
Andrix, George--Five Pieces for Violin and Percussion
Gerber, Steve--Nexus
Loeb, David--Antiphonary
Owens, Terry Winter--Auf Dem Letzten Hügel
Park, Taae Hong--Viper
Vinao, Alejandro--Tumblers
Piazzola, Astor--Histoire du Tango
Nuyts, Frank--Homage
