Visual Learning Analytics

I invest my time in dialogic-based learning on Vialogues since my postdoc. Currently, I'm working on intelligent & scalable learning moment detector. It includes learning & engagement activity classifiers, analytics, visualization & recommenders. I particularly focus on extracting semantics from short texts, such as conversations in discussion forums. more details in my project list on my lab site...

Social Visualization

I continuously research in the field of scalable learning analytics interfaces. I design & build effective interactive visualizations that enhance users' (learning) experiences. Progress & topic based navigation support (Progressor & Progressor+).

Computer Science Education

I research how student learn to program, what technology assist learning programming. I organize CS-Edu workshops (AIEDCS'13, AIEDCS'14, CSPRED). I build several tools that support users to learn programming languages, inlcuding peer-reviewing based program annotator, parameterized quizzes for dynamic problem solving (QuizJET) etc. more details in my project list on my lab site...
