Sessions for the 2010 NIME conference will be held in the Zelman Cowen building at the University of Queensland.
Accommodation Options
Please keep in mind that there is a major international sporting event (the Ashes Cricket test) being held in Brisbane during the conference, so many hotels will have low availability and high rates. All prices listed are in Australian dollars.
On-Campus Accommodation
These four colleges are in close proximity to the School of Music. Whilst the colleges provide single-sex accommodation for students during the semester, all accept male and female guests during vacation periods (November – February inclusive). Please use the information as a guide and confirm all details with the college at the time of booking.
Please note that the colleges do not provide self-catering facilities; however, there are reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance of the campus. Lunch will be provided for each day of the conference in the conference registration fee.

Domestic Travelers
The Brisbane Domestic airport terminal is located approximately 15 km from the city centre, 20 km from St Lucia. Cab fare from the airport to Toowong or St Lucia should cost $40 – $60 depending on traffic. The Airtrain has services every 30 minutes from 6am to 8pm. Adult fare to the CBD is $14.90 and to Toowong (close to St Lucia) is $17.90 www.airtrain.com.au

Conference participants may need a visa or an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) to travel to Australia. In some cases, these are available at the airport on arrival. To avoid delays, you are advised to check the visa requirements for your country prior to departure.
