I am a journalist with experience using public records and personal relationships to find and tell compelling stories on multiple platforms. I graduated from Arizona State University in 2009.
From the Tempe City Council chambers to the Arizona statehouse and the U.S. Capitol, I have covered politics and public policy at all levels of government. I have covered immigration, border security and international relations from both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border.
Despite the challenges our industry faces, I am fiercely optimistic about the future of journalism. I am excited to tell stories in new ways—in print and online; using text, photos, videos, blogs and Twitter.
I am proud to be have earned recognition for my work, including a Hearst award for spot news writing. I am also proud to be named an "outstanding undergraduate student" from ASU's Cronkite School of Journalism.
