Final Examination Instructions
- The final examination
will take place on Tuesday, May 13, 7:40-9:30am. It will be held at Nursing 101, the usual lecture hall.
- Bring at least three
blue books and writing implements.
- The examination is
open book for sections 2 and 3, but not for section 1. Feel free to bring all course texts,
notes or any materials you wish.
- The examination will
begin and end promptly at the scheduled times.
- You may turn in blue books and leave the
examination early, but it is not recommended.
- All special accommodation requests should be
made by the last class day, Monday, May 5.
- Unexcused absence for the final examination is
grounds for course failure.
- If there are any changes in testing arrangements
prior to the examination, they will be announced on the class e-mail list
and on the class website by 5pm, Monday, May 12.
- Prof. Lockard will hold the final examinations
and final papers in his office until September 15, after which they will
be destroyed. Please feel free to
drop past his office to request your final materials. These will be available during normal
office hours from May 15 – May 30, and then again from August 15 –
September 15. They will not be
available during June, July, or August 1 – 14.
Final Examination Contents
The examination will consist
of three sections:
(1)
Passage
identification. A series of passages
derived from any course text, for author and text identification (half credit
each). Time: 20 minutes.
(2)
Essay Question 1. This question will require a good reading
knowledge of the Emerson texts covered.
Time: 45 minutes.
(3)
Essay Question 2. Time: 45 minutes.
Answer sheets for section 1
will be collected after 20 minutes. The
three sections will be weighted equally.
The course instructors will
be the examination proctors.
