The Chimera Project
I am writing a semi-popular book on the topic of creating new part-human
organisms in stem cell biology and nanotechnology.
The book covers a range of topics, from
the scientific justifications for creating part-human organisms through the range of
moral objections (both secular and religious) that have been raised,
with a brief foray into science policy.
During the Fall of 2005, the project had
two undergraduate research fellows, Ramin Sadeghi and Arielle
Silverman, working through the
Center for the Study of Religion and Conflict.
