Evo-devo

JSR's work in the philosophy of biology has focused extensively on intersections between evolutionary and developmental biology evo-devo. Most of my work in this area addresses epistemic and methodological issues, and I am especially interested in exploring the existence of sui generis evo-devo research questions.  See also the Philosophy and Developmental Biology Working Group and the Southwest Colloquium in History and Philosophy of the Life Sciences.

For more on this topic, buy my book (please!): Embryology, Epigenesis, and Evolution: Taking Development Seriously (Cambridge UP, 2004). You can buy it online at Amazon (Canada [best price]: hardcover, paperback; US: hardcover, paperback), Barnes & Noble (hardcover, paperback), or directly from the publisher.
