Currently, my teaching load is based at The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, in partnership with Arizona State University. At ASU, I have taught mostly Bioethics courses in the past, and am presently developing a suite of modular, one-credit Advanced Bioethics courses for graduate students and well-qualified senior undergraduates. I also teach the Bioethics in Film course every Fall and Spring, which explores bioethical, political, and legal issues via the medium of film. In Spring 2009, the topic is ‘Evolution and its discontents’. In future years, expect film series on ‘Death and dying’ and ‘Mental illness and brain disorders’. We maintain a Bioethics and Film database of relevant films.
