Many common objects are comprised of several components each of which
performs a different function. Each component must be made of a material
with a unique set of properties that enable the component to perform
its prescribed function.
Examine the incadescent light bulb. Make a list of all the components
of the light bulb ( there are 9). For each component make a list of properties
that component must have to perform its function. For each component make
a guess at what material is used for that component.
