We in the UCAI and VCAI computer-assisted 102 classes wanted to create an e-zine that would appeal to all. Each one of us saw a problem in one of three areas--entertainment, health, or news and decided that we could come up with our own unique solution to the problem. What follows might be offensive to some, but all we wanted to do is stir up some thoughts and emotions and raise awareness about the following topics.
Philosophy composed by Amy Bartelt and the Hard News Group

These proposal essays were written by Arizona State University ENG. 102 students during Spring semester 1997. The students chose their topics, did the research, and worked collaboratively to write the essays and create the e-zine. I did not edit these final papers and am not responsible for my student's opinions. I encouraged them to write persuasively about topics they viewed important not only to their own welfare but to the welfare of the larger community.
