Writing About Literature

In this particular section of English 218, we will read a selection of novels to discover how those novels work as arguments about various issues and to see how they persuade us to accept their vision of the importance and perils of technology.

The writers we will read this semester are typically concerned with the misuse of technology (especially by the military, politicians or industrialists) rather than with technology itself being problematic.
