The Magnificent Seven
The Magnificent Seven television series first aired as a midseason replacement on CBS in January 1998. The Magnificent Seven series continues the saga with the adventures of the seven courageous men who fearlessly defend the lawless frontier of the Old West. It is the 1870Ős. An ex-Confederate soldier and his band of outlaws are threatening to massacre a defenseless Indian village unless they hand over the gold from their secret mine. Fire Eagle, the Seminole chief, journeys to the town with a small bag of gold as payment to hired guns who will defend his tribe. So begins the story of the men who will eventually band together to become The Magnificent Seven. Learning from each other and forming their own code of ethics, they begin to defeat the outlaws of the West and gain the respect of the common folk. The seven men include their embittered leader, a former gun-for-hire seeking redemption (Michael Biehn of The Terminator); a sharpshooter and bounty hunter; a former slave; a young and cocky Eastern-bred idealist; a smooth-talking con-artist; a former priest turned eccentric prophet; and a hard-drinking womanizing Irishman who specializes in explosives. With each new episode, their legend grows through their heroic tales of friendship, loyalty and justice. Saddle up for action, as The Magnificent Seven ride again!
