Elementary Windows or Macintosh skills, and a working command of basic algebra

 

Accelerating economic, technological, social, and environmental changes challenge managers to adapt at increasing rates. In this course, you will learn better ways to analyze and design complex business systems with multiple feedback effects, long time delays, and nonlinear responses to management decisions.

This course is particularly relevant if you are interested in operations management, supply chain management, project management, or process reengineering. The course will be of special interest to students with backgrounds in engineering, science, or technical business fields who wish to apply their technical expertise to improve business processes.

In this course, you will:

Applications will be presented to product and service businesses, and particular emphasis will be given to cross-functional management issues, such the impact of capital investment on market growth, management of fluctuating workloads, market growth and stagnation, new product development, and project management.
