QBA 591: Management Problem Solving

Prerequisites:

QBA 502, basic Windows or Macintosh spreadsheet skills

Spreadsheet-based analysis methods can be used to simplify and clarify management problem solving and decision making. In this course, you will learn a spreadsheet-oriented approach to organizing data collection, quantifying information, addressing risks, and analyzing alternatives to arrive at a good solution for a management problem or opportunity.

This course will be of particular interest to quantitatively-oriented students who work in project organizations or other teams that address non-routine management situations such as project or program planning, new product or service development, or process reengineering. You will be able to immediately put the methods presented in the course to use to simplify group decision making, and the methods will continue to be effective as you move to greater levels of responsibility.
