Appolonia Family Photo!

For my family migration object I am presenting an old photograph of my mother’s side of my family.  Her maiden name is Appolonia.  The photo shows my Great Grandparents and my three Grand Aunts as well as my Grandfather.  They came to the U.S. (I know it sounds cliché) in search of a better life from Patrica, Italy.  My Great Grandparents spoke very little English throughout their life.  My Grandfather was born in the U.S. and they wanted him to mainly speak English.  He has since forgotten most of the Italian language that they spoke when he was little.  My Grandfather was born in 1928 and is still alive.  I would estimate his age in the photo was about 9 or so.  I would estimate that this photo was taken around 1937 or so.  The photo means a lot to our family because as we all know a photo can speak 1000 words and simply because it captures a moment in our family history.
