v     The AILA has 35 chapters and over 75 national committees in the United States. The national office is based in Washington, D.C.

v     They are working for the families trying claim citizenship, foreign students, and businesses that are trying to bring highly skilled workers from other countries.

v     Mission Statement: “The American Immigrant Lawyers Association is the national association of immigration lawyers established to promote justice, advocate for fair and reasonable immigration law and policy, advance the quality of immigration and nationality law and practice, and enhance the professional development of its member.”

v     On their website, they have a “For the Press” tab that includes recent press releases, statements and Congressional testimony and resources to further understand the issue of immigration.

v     The agency is pro immigration since they work towards allowing immigrants to enter the U.S.
