My family object that I had brought to class was an article on my Great Great

grandfather Hermann Lemp.  I wanted to scan it, so you could  read it

but I was unable to fit it on here. 

    The article talks about Hermann coming to America, a 20 year old Swiss Immigrant

who began working for Thomas Edison.  Hermann was part of the

great lighting of New York.  He later went on to contribute to our

great railway system at the time, and invented the diesel-electric

engine. 

    The article also talks about him going back to Switzerland to bring back his mother

and that was when he met his wife.   The article also talks about my great

grandmother whom was one of the first to graduate from MIT.
