Growing up in Phoenix, we were always taught that anything south of Thomas Road was the "bad" part of town. You weren't supposed to go down there unless you had to, certainly not alone, and most definitely not at night! For my class at ASU, we are studying South Phoenix, and I am discovering that growing up in Maryvale was not much different that what I have seen in South Phoenix. Check out all that we have learned!
Sometimes we stopped to make observations.
Our second week we offered our services to Habitat for Humanity. Check it out!
