The Grand Teton Range

The Grand Tetons are a young mountain range resulting from a fault in the earth's crust. At their base, are clear blue lakes with no foothills, which makes them photogenic.

Several mountain ranges surround the valley that Davey Jackson "discovered." This explains the name "Jackson's Hole" ("Jackson Hole"). Locals like me just say we're from "Jackson." If you want to give yourself away as a tourist, just keep saying you're going to visit "Jackson Hole."
