Course Description

I taught CSE 494/598 Information Retrieval, Mining and Integration in Spring 2016 at Arizona State University. This course is geared towards exposing students to some of the core technologies for controlling and using the content on the Internet. This course will be a breadth-oriented introduction to the issues involved in -- the efficient functioning of search engines, mining useful patterns in the massive accessible data on the internet, efficient database style query processing by assuming web as a big database/knowledge base, etc.
