RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am an undergraduate senior majoring in biology and womens studies. When I heard about a marine biology lab at ASU, I jumped at the chance to participate. I have been involved in the Gerber Lab since my junior year starting out in a data entry position. As time progressed, I was asked to begin working in the genetics lab doing DNA extractions. I have also been fortunate enough to attend three of the four islands in the Gulf of California on which we research animal behaviors: Granito, San Esteban, and San Jorge. Now, I am a member of the School of Life Sciences Undergraduate Research (SOLUR) program as a researcher under the mentorship of Dr. Gerber. I am currently developing a project that will involve both my observations of sea lion behavior and my experience in the genetics lab.
