In interdisciplinary studies, I have made it my mission to make connections between two of my interests. My first concentration is mass communication, my second, film. Related to mass communication film has emerged as the dominant form communication for its ability to convey messages in a visual medium, therefore making them easily accessible for audiences around the globe visual. Throughout this course of study I have learned the technical and creative aspects of film as well as it’s history and theories. Additionally, by way of the former, I have developed the skills necessary to critically analyze a film for its underlying meaning.. The two artifacts that follow are extremely personal pieces from my time studying film. Looking over both of these, I can’t help but think about my choices and preferences in film and how they serve as a reflection of myself. |
