(A love of reading doesn't hurt.)
Copy editors need many skills and qualities, with journalistic integrity strong among them.
This course builds on language and design skills you began to master in your previous work.
In Advanced Editing, you continue learning QuarkXPress as a design tool and develop the
higher-level visual- and word-editing skills you will need in the evolving multimedia world.
You will gain a widening exposure to news and current professional thought while more deeply
understanding the journalistic process. As always, the ability to think clearly and well — and to
then demonstrate that ability— is the goal.
