I am a public relations student in the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, with a minor in tourism management.
My work experience includes public relations and journalism internships. Through these internships I improved my writing skills and learned various techniques to address the media and distribute information publicly. I also have experience within the travel and tourism industry, which taught me valuable customer service skill as well as the ability to think and react to situations quickly and effectively.
Community service has been a big part of my life since high school. My time at Arizona State has been devoted to numerous philanthropic efforts including Relay For Life. I have always been an active participant in Relay For Life, which raises money for cancer research, but for Relay For Life 2009 I took it a step further and got involved with the planning and execution. I have also taken on leadership roles within my sorority, Kappa Delta, where I was able to raise over $22,000 for Prevent Child Abuse America and Phoenix Crisis Nursery.
My academic achievements, community involvement and strong work ethic have been the foundation of my character and desire to make an impact.
