This
assignment involves conducting a small survey. You will survey only FIVE
individuals (one survey per individual) who are NOT your friends or peers. You
may contact them anywhere you want, but you need to approach people you don’t
know. You will need to make five
copies of the questionnaire provided below in order to conduct this assigment.
You
will read the questionnaire below to your respondents; this is an in-person interview
survey, NOT a self-administered questionnaire. After you are done, you will
write a small narrative in ONE page or so (typed, double-spaced, one inch
margins, font 12), describing where and how you contacted the respondents,
if you were required to read the questions more than once, whether you rephrased
some of them or clarify anything, how many (if any) people turned you down and
finally, some thoughts on what implications your selection of “ study
participants” may have on the data you collected. Can these results be
generalized? Why or why not?
