Graduate Students
Currently, there are openings for PhD students
to work in the area of bacterial molecular genetics. This award will be given to
qualified graduate students that apply and are accepted to School of
Life Sciences Graduate Program for a Doctoral degrees in Microbiology
or Molecular and
Cellular Biology. Awards will range from $17,355 (9 months)
to
$23,140 (12 months). All are encouraged to apply.

Postdocs
Postdoctoral position available immediately to study antibiotic
efflux pumps, novel antibiotic targets, and the targeting of outer
membrane proteins in the Gram negative bacteria Escherichia coli.
These research projects are supported by NIH-R01-GM066988
and NIH-R01-GM48167.
Both projects involve genetics, molecular biology, and biochemical

Interested candidates should have a Ph.D. in microbiology or a
closely related field, with a strong background in genetics and
molecular biology. Salary will be commensurable with previous research experience.
