Eric Coon

    Eric is an undergraduate in the School of Life Sciences majoring in Microbiology.  Eric is also pursuing a degree in Economics concurrently.  He joined the lab in Fall of 2003.  He is involved in a genetic screen that selects for mutants with decreased membrane permeability.  Eric recently received a small grant from the Research and Training Initiatives group in the School of Life Sciences after authoring a grant.  He is currently applying to the SOLUR program for research funding.  Eric also just received his first teaching assignment.  Eric will be instrumental in future undergraduate training efforts.
