Fasahath Husain

    Fasahath came to Arizona State University in August 2001 and joined the Misra lab in December of 2001.  He is currently pursuing his PhD in Microbiology.  Fasahath works on the antibiotic efflux system TolC-AcrAB in Escherichia coli.  Fasahath has worked on both genetic and biochemical aspects of this project.  He has been instrumental in determining the nature of the interaction between the proteins of this complex.  He has also elucidated the mechanism of TolC mutants sensitive and resistant to a broad spectrum of antibiotics.
