Melanie Kiser is a pre-law digital journalist at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in Phoenix.

Her specialty/interest areas include public policy & politics, data & statistics, investigative reporting, animal issues, and legal/court coverage.

After graduating in 2011, Melanie will to attend law school in the northeast, where she will study the first amendment law, privacy torts and intellectual property as they relate to the mass media.

She ultimately hopes to work as a media law attorney while freelancing on the side.
