 Taken from Bible record sent in by family to obtain pension for    
 the services of Martin Bailey in the Revolutionary War.    
     
 Martin Bailey was married to Susanna Robinson July the 7th A.Domin 1784.    
     
 Francis Bailey was born May the 6th 1785.    
 William Bailey was born 28th Febr. 1787.    
 Edman Bailey was born the 27 of January in the year 1789.    
 Patsey Bailey was born 9th of April Anno Domin 1791.    
     
 Susannah Staton Bailey was born 2 day cif September in the year of    
 our Lord 1793.    
 Nancay Bailey was born March 28th 1796.    
 Winston Bayley was born September the 9 1798.    

 Lehirey Bailey was born March the First 1801.    
 John R. Bailey was born Jany the 14th 1804.    
     
 A.A. Bailey 1821. (no explanation of what it was).    
     
 Edward K. McMillin was born May the 24th 1794 (his hand and Pen——).    
 John R. Bailey was born Aprile the 7th 1822.    
     
 A.A. Bailey was born May 10th 1819.    
     
 “The foreqoing record was taken from Bible of Martin Bailey    
 deceased late of Monroe County and was taken from Bible bearing    
 date London 1768, and Martin Bailey died in Monroe County on the    
 22nd day of June 1826, that he left a widow aged 85 years and    
 still living in Monroe County and Martin Bailey was aged 75 at    
 time of his death, and the above named were all the surviving    
 children at time of his death: Patsy Bailey aged 60 years; Nancy    
 Lester aged 55; Lehigh Bailey aged 50 years and John P. Bailey    
 aged 47 years.” The following from an affadivit of Hiram Bailey    
 and Archibald McMillin before the J.P. Parish Sims, 13 day of    
 June 1851.    
     
 Said Susannah Bailey was bc’rn in Virginia in Caroline County and    
 was married to Martin Bailey in Surrey County, N.C. on the 7th    
 day of July 1784, by Cager Clarke a magistrate.
