In the 1860 census of Monroe County, Kentucky, there are two
families living in dwelling #694.
Family #697 consists of a 64 year old blacksmith W. H. Lewis,
born in Virginia, and 42 year old Elizabeth born in Tennessee. This
Elizabeth is too young to be James Simmons daughter. She could,
however, be a second wife or a daughter-in-law.
Family #698 consists of a 28 year old farmer C. Lewis, also born
in Tennessee, 24 year old female Lucy, and a one month old female
infant. Mother and child were both born in Kentucky. This young male,
C. Lewis, could be the older Lewis son. The value of the realty is
$600 and of personal property is $100.
