[109] Reverend Abraham Molsbee presided at the marriage of Rachel
Insenburg to William P. Grose in Hawkins County on November 10, 1867.
An Abe Molsbee witnessed the prenuptial agreement between Sallie White
Gillenwaters and Absolom Looney Burem in September of 1877. Abraham's
father, David Molsbee was a neighbor and friend of the Gillenwaters
near the turn of the nineteenth century.
During the smallpox epidemic of 1883, Abe Molsbee along with Dr.
L. (sic) S. Gillenwaters and W. M. Henry was appointed to a committee
for the 17th District to oversee the care of victims and prevention of
the spread of the disease. All 18 districts had three committeemen
appointed.
