in KENTUCKY, although the records are not complete that far back.
JOHN MOORE, a brother of JOEL, was born in 1782.

  Note by Doug Moore: It would appear that the handwriting for item 3
was hard to read, with the first letter uncertain. Based on a lot of
census reading, I would also think it possible that Jela could be
Jesse. The "ss" in early writing used the German "double s" that often
could be mistaken for an h or l .
