"An old yellowed paper in Frances [Walton] Vaughn's collection... has
written on it 'Rhesa Allen was born May 25, 1792 near Mt. Jackson on
East side of the River at the old grave yard, died Dec. 7, 1865.'
This would be the old White House, the original home of Joseph Allen,
adjoining the graveyard." [Allens]
