Speculation on first name: son Thomas and wife seemed to follow a
naming pattern with their children. Their first daughter was Phoebe,
after the mother's mother. Their first son was Thomas, which could
have been after the mother's father or the father. But the second son
was Josiah, after the mother's half-brother. If the father's father
had been skipped for the first son, violating the pattern, then surely
the father's father's name would have been used for the second son.
Therefore, Thomas Dunkerson's father may have been named Thomas.
