She was born and raised in Arizona. Her love for music started at a young age. Throughout high school, she spent her weekends inside the four walls of venues around the Valley.
Writing became a passion throughout her courses in high school and soon became a daily thing for her to do.
Naturally, Monica decided to combine her love for music and writing and make it her career.
She has written for The State Press and has a local music blog, Local Bandaid.
Her goal is to become a music journalist showing fans the next big thing, bands to check out or write CD reviews.
