Tamla-Monique is a junior Journalism and Mass Communication student at Arizona State University. Her area of concentration in the field is Public Relations. Along with media related studies, she has taken on a minor in Family Studies, in hopes incorporating the two to help her achieve success in law school.
She describes herself as an organized and punctual person who always strives to do her best in whatever tasks she may undertake.
Tamla-Monique has a passion for helping those who are less fortunate, particularly children and teenage girls, who in her eyes need the most love, support and attention. It is this passion that drives her to want to accomplish the maximum for herself in order to be able to help bring out the best in others.
She is a student member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). It is here where she learns how to incorporate a degree in Public Relations and Law to help effectively communicate to and on the behalf of those whose voice tend to go unheard.
Tamla-Monique volunteers as a guardian ad litem. In her spare time, she writes a blog dedicated to help first-time mothers adjust to the demands of motherhood. She is also working on creating a non-profit organization called MyVoice that will provide a new medium of social networking that gives younger teens a constructive way of self expression.
