  | Welcome to Module 4. This week we will be learning about computer input and output devices, as well as secondary data storage.

 |
  | Computer input devices include keyboards, mice, digital cameras, scanners, etc. These devices input data and commands to the computer, and have really come a long way through the years. See the picture above for a futuristic-looking keyboard that is now available- this device is called an IR (infrared) Keyboard, and is about the size of a cell phone! For those of you that would like to make a few bonus points, yes, my birthday is coming up. Watch the video in the link below for more information on the IR Keyboard. http://www.geeknewscentral.com/archives/006800.html

  | Another exciting and futuristic keyboard just on the horizon is the Optimus Maximus Keyboard. This keyboard is unique because each of the keys can easily be removed and cleaned- and each houses a small OLED display. Using software that comes with the keyboard, you can place whatever image you want on each key of your keyboard! More information on the Optimus Maximus can be found here- http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus/

  | Since we are talking about monitors and printers, I thought it might be fun to go over some color theory. Did you know that monitors and printers use entirely different color models to represent color? Watch this week's lecture for more, and read over the link below as well.
