I am currently a graduate student working with Dr. J Ramon Arrowsmith in the Active Tectonics, Geomorphology and Quantitative Structural Geology Research Group within the Department of Geological Sciences at Arizona State University. As a M.S. student, I used the tools of paleoseismology, tectonic geomorphology, and observations from the 2004 ~Mw 6 Parkfield earthquake to help understand fault behavior along the Parkfield segment of the San Andreas Fault. As a Ph.D. student I remain interested in studying geomorphology related to active faulting, but I intend to shift my focus to my other primary interest: problems related to urban processes. I will use Phoenix, AZ as a natural laboratory for studying urban geomorphic problems.
