2010-present   Research Assistant – School of Human Evolution and Social Change, Arizona State University

Research Assistant for Dr. Michelle Hegmon on the Change is Hard: The Challenges of Path Dependency project. Compiled data on Hohokam irrigation systems in the Salt-Gila Basin of Arizona.

 

2010-present   Instructor – Cultural Science Department, Mesa Community College

Taught ASB 245 Indians of the Southwest. Developed and presented lectures, in-class exercises, field exercises, assignments, quizzes, exams, and web pages. Evaluated and graded student assignments.

Served as crew member and ceramic analyst on archaeological survey projects on federal lands in Arizona. Prepared survey reports.

 

2008-present   Archaeologist – Kaibab-Vermilion Cliffs Heritage Alliance

                        Directed volunteers in archaeological excavation, survey, and site recording on federal and private lands on the Grand Canyon Trust’s Kane and Two Mile Ranches. Programs run in cooperation with the Trust, Bureau of Land Management, and Northern Arizona University. Managed field logistics in remote settings. Analyzed artifacts and prepared reports.

Worked on the development of a subject index for an archival collection of correspondence, notes, maps, photos, and newspaper and magazine articles. Presented educational programs on the battle and other related topics to groups of visitors.
