The Trees follow forest rules. Smoke is exactly the same as the current
smoke/fog rules. Fire (the red difficult terrain marker) works as follows: If
movement into or if activating on take 5 fire damage. Sort of like the Magma
Keep optional rules. I also made it partially Huge accessible. I like this
revision much better than the original. More colorful of course.

I decided to try another and came up with a nice cave map. The "Forgotten
Catacomb" has pits, bridges and wacky victory areas plus a pool of
radiance which grants creatures that stand in it regeneration. More brilliant
colors this time. [:)] Only special ruling I put on this one is on the wooden
bridges. Large creatures can "squeeze" to cross them (which might be
allowed already I didn't feel like looking it all up).

White Triangles = Difficult terrain.
Yellow Triangles = Trees
Trees: Trees have their own rules in Forested Terrain now.
Purple Triangles = Cursed Swamp
Counts as Difficult Terrain and any creature that ends it's turn on a Cursed
Swamp square must roll a DC 14 or suffer a cursed effect.
1st failed DC save: -2 save for the remainder of the
game.
2nd failed DC save: -2 attack, -2 AC for the remainder
of the game.
3rd failed DC save: Slow: Can't attack and move on the same turn and can't make
more than 1 attack per turn.
4th failed DC save: Cursed damage: 5 damage whenever Cursed
creature activates.
5th failed DC save: Creature is Destroyed!
Black Triangle = Quicksand
Count as Difficult Terrain and any creature that moves into or activates on
must roll a DC 16 or lose their turn and make a second DC 16 save. Failing the
second DC save the creature sinks under and eliminated from the game.

With Winter coming I thought I'd try something with a snowy background. Icy
Chasm is a canyon covered in snow, with rough deep patches and a frozen river.

Careful! There may be Thin Ice and you'll fall in and get hypothermia. Adds
Thin Ice terrain which works as follows. “Thin Ice: All squares of the frozen
river contain Thin Ice. Thin Ice counts as Difficult Terrain. Any creature that
moves into or activates on must roll a d20, on a 1-5 it takes 5 cold damage.”
Obviously immune and resistant to cold creatures get a small advantage here.

A request for a four player map with no fancy terrain was made by my best
friend so I went to work to put together something new.

Here is my second Winter Fantasy submission and newest map [:)]. It's the
Minotaur Labyrinth. I wanted to create something that could be interesting for
the DDM community draft so this is what I came up with. Somewhat mazelike and
filled with a spattering of difficult terrain, some spike stones and blood
rock. The most unique feature of this map is the Sigils of Obedience. Their
effect is one that can make certain pieces for the draft at Winter Fantasy
extremely strong. The sigils read as follows:
Sigils of Obedience: When a creature sets up on a Sigil of Obedience at the
start of a skirmish, treat this creature as if it did not have any difficult,
wild or always out of command abilities. The way they are placed on the map
makes it hard to not have a creature start out of your command radius if using
a sigil, unless you have more than one commander that is. Wandering monsters
even get a chance to start on one. I think it'll add a lot of fun to the game.
Early assault points should be fairly easy to get with a few fairly fast pieces.

My latest map I wanted to come up with something outdoors and figured I hadn't
done a desert maps so that's what I chose. The Sacred Oasis is a Huge friendly but smaller map of 30 X 21. Meaning battles
will occur quickly. A shared victory area of the Oasis itself will also make
for an expected battleground. Combining walls, difficult terrain and some forested
area terrain as well. I think visually it's one of my best maps to date.

My latest edition is a simple graveyard map. Or at least so it seems.... The
Repentant Graveyard has several tombstones and a few above ground crypts as
well as a Mausoleum and a Gravedigger's shack. There's even an open grave and a
few bodies waiting to be buried. It's a place where the dead rise to repent
their sins.
There is a mysterious mist that fills the air around the graveyard, the
"REPENTANT MISTS". When one of your living creatures is destroyed
roll a D20, on a roll 16+ replace it with an undead creature under your control
with cost 10 or less.
With the Lich Necromancer effect obviously since it's your creature you get to
resolve the Repentant Mist effect first, then if that fails the Lich
Necromancer's would resolve as normal.

My first Gencon map submission. DOWNTOWN ARCHERONAPOLIS - Indianapolis, Indiana
ravaged by the dark powers of an unholy triumvirate from the Eternal
Battlefields of Archeron and the Nine Hells of Baator. Asmodeus the King of the
Nine Hells, Gruumsh the God of Orcs and Hextor Lord of Tyranny and Evil.
Unleashing their terrors upon the great city they have defiled it's once admirable facade transforming it from a busy
cityscape to a demon's playground. Mutated for the pleasures of carnage and war
that the dark gods demand. Fierce battles must be fought in order to restore
the sanctity of the once great city!
This is the most detailed and intricate map I've made thus far. It's a map with
scatterings of rough (difficult) terrain, a large lava river (pit), smoking
debris (smoke) and even demonic orifices (pits). It promises to be a brutal map
for miniatures combat.

Deep in the subterranean, nether regions of the Underdark lay
many mysterious and treacherous locus. Among the most horrifying on the
outskirts of what once was a civilized undertown exist the Spider Caverns.
Perhaps the lair of giant spiders or those touched by Lolth, the dark goddess,
or the cursed Driders or even perhaps the former nest of a Bebilith.
On this dark and eerie map there are tidbits of difficult terrain, a sacred
circle, a pit, a couple statues and two new terrain types I've included. The
first is Web Terrain which acts as entangle DC 14 and Stalactite Terrain which
uses difficult terrain rules that only work on flying creatures.

The Grand Athenaeum housed in the largest port city of the empire was said to
be the most comprehensive library and collection of arts in the known world,
until the orcish tribes attacked. They came from the sea, a tactic unheard of
from the primitive warriors lending confirmation to the rumors that a powerful
force was guiding them. Though ravaged this great monument to the skills and
knowledge of its people leaves all that see it in awe.

The Faerie Grove is a magical place where the fairies frolic all day and cast
their spells of faerie fire and sleep inducing mushrooms. Surrounded by giant

In the Lost Halls of Ancients lie the remnants of a race of creatures from
beyond even the first age of elves. The “elder race” or “forgotten ones”
civilization vanished long ago yet their incredible architecture remains.
Hidden in the depths of the underearth where no
mortal of this day has ever stepped foot. Were they titans or giants or
creatures of the planes? Little can be found as to their origins or fate save
the massive underground lair.
A fairly simple map I think but offers some
interesting skirmish possibilities.

Deep underneath the coastlands near a busting city port lies a hive of extraplanar insectoid creatures,
a Formian hive city ruled by a young and vicious
queen that believes all outside beings are a threat to their existence. Other
creatures have invaded their caverns and catacombs only to be destroyed and
left for lesser vermin to feed upon.
I wanted to try some new techniques for creating a cave map. All the walls on
this map were created by a variety of crazy photoshopping
ideas. To block line of sight through the middle I placed a secret door ala Ratfang Sewers.

On the skirtlands of the coastal cities lay many
farms scattered about the wilderness. Legend tells of a monstrous creature that
attacks without warning and slays all that lives never pillaging or feeding as
if it were hunting for sport. Many have died and despite efforts by many
adventurers the creature has never been caught much less been seen. It still
hunts and strikes fear in the hearts of all.
I wanted to make a farm map for some time now. I created crop terrain that
benefits medium and smaller creatures similar to my Grand Athenaeum.
