Ron Broglio's research focuses on how philosophy and aesthetics can help us rethink the relationship between humans and the environment. His book Surface Encounters: Thinking with Animals and Art (University of Minnesota Press, 2011) asks what is an animal phenomenology and how might it be thought through art. Current projects include a dairy cattle art installation, a book project on the animal revolution, and work synthesizing biopower in British Romantic labor class poetry and agriculture.
