There are some names that keep coming up in this quest, and John Chafee is certainly one of them: in the 1870s, Chafee marked the WY-CO-NE tri-point straight south of here, the northeast corner of Colorado, and the NE-CO-KS tri-point. This monument also is his work. Jill and I signed the register and enjoyed the incomparable thrill of standing in one state and talking to someone who was, at the same time, standing in two other states! Shocking!

My hair was looking quite Wolverine-like (as in Hugh Jackman from the X-Men). Most people think I look amazingly like Hugh Jackman. Hold on - let me check - yes, that is, in fact, not true.

I like the photo upper left because it looks like the poor cows really really want to see Nebraska. I wonder what the grass tastes like over there. Just on the other side of that line. Just another example of the man bringin' us down.
